Check a sick note's signed details — free

1. Scan the QR code on the certificate with any phone camera — or paste its verification link at pracproof.co.za/verify. 2. The check runs on your device. Nothing is uploaded; there is no account and no cost. 3. Check the signature result, then compare the displayed document type, issue date, prescriber details, patient name and summary with the certificate. A valid QR signature applies to that summary; it does not automatically check every word or image on the paper or PDF.

A changed signed payload fails its signature check. An edit to the paper or PDF alone can leave the QR valid, so compare the displayed fields yourself. The QR does not independently prove the prescriber's identity, current registration or that a consultation took place. Where needed, contact the practice using details obtained independently.
