Give the question a clear scope
Choose the records relevant to the question rather than adding unrelated history. State the clinical topic, the point you need clarified and, when useful, the guideline or source you want to consult.
The demonstration uses a focused question about what a named inpatient guideline says. It shows the steps for asking and checking; the fictional case and answer are not a treatment instruction for another patient.
Read the reference, not just the summary
Inspect the returned references and open the original material. Check whether the source supports the particular statement, whether it applies to your setting and patient, and whether a more recent version is available.
A citation is a route to checking the answer, not proof that every generated sentence is correct. Research may return incomplete information or fail to produce a usable answer. The clinician remains responsible for evaluating it.
Save only what you have reviewed
When the answer is useful, use the save action to keep a Research note with the patient. This records the reviewed material in context rather than leaving it in an unrelated chat.
Separate the source’s statements from your own clinical assessment. A saved answer is not an automatic diagnosis, prescription or instruction to carry out treatment.
Know the allowance and connection requirements
AI Essential is R299/month with 200 recorded consultations and 300 shared AI uses; Plus is R599/month with 400 and 600; Max is R999/month with 700 and 900. Each plan covers one prescriber and includes the same AI tools. Maximum 30 minutes of recording per consultation. Each recorded consultation includes its initial transcript and note. Research answers, Assistant replies, AI document drafts and camera scans share the AI allowance. Manual editing, copying, saving, PDF export and printing use no AI credits. Allowances reset each calendar month; unused uses do not roll over. The 14-day trial includes 20 recordings and 20 shared AI uses. No card and no automatic paid subscription.
Research and external sources need connectivity. The offline material available elsewhere in the app is a separate feature, and an offline copy may not reflect a publisher’s most recent revision.
