A referral with the right context
Choose the intended recipient, destination and urgency. Enter or review the clinical summary, reason for referral and relevant findings, then open the document preview.
With the optional AI tool, select the notes you want to use as context. The generated text is a starting point: check the reason for referral, chronology, medicines and whether each statement comes from the selected record. Complete any missing information before sharing.
Prepare the PMB motivation
The PMB workflow brings the diagnosis, ICD-10 information, relevant category and supporting clinical narrative together in a document. The clinician selects and reviews the applicable fields and records the authorisation context.
AI can help draft the narrative from selected notes. It does not determine benefit eligibility, obtain authorisation or approve cover. The final document still needs the practice’s review and the receiving scheme’s process.
Separate planned treatment from completed treatment
An admission record may contain a proposed plan alongside care already delivered. Read every generated paragraph for that distinction. Do not leave a proposed investigation or treatment phrased as completed if the record does not support it.
Check dates, urgency and emergency statements explicitly. If a required fact is missing, add the correct information yourself instead of allowing the draft to supply an assumption.
Review the preview and the destination
Use the preview to inspect the finished layout and the patient, recipient and prescriber details together. A saved or shared PDF is a document output; it is not proof that a referral was accepted or a claim was authorised.
The demonstration follows a fictional heart-failure admission through a referral and PMB draft. The category and narrative shown belong to that example and should not be copied as a blanket rule for another patient.
